Hiding won’t help you get what you want
Hiding is a tactic, whether conscious or not, that prevents you from being seen.
If you want to create success for yourself, your business, creations, and other offerings, hiding doesn’t work. In order to attract what it is you want, you’ll need to step out of the shadows at some point and let others notice you. What’s more, you’ll have to say, “here I am!”. It takes a certain ownership of yourself, along with feeling safe enough to be seen, in order to stand out in the crowd.
Some species of insects, animals, and plants survive by blending into their environment. The idea is that if they don’t stand out too much, nobody will notice them or try to eat or otherwise interfere with them. They hide, in plain view, by matching to their surroundings. There are also those colorful species that are not afraid to be seen, and in fact welcome being noticed; peacocks, flamingos, parrots, zebras, and Lady Gaga, to name a few.
It’s somewhat dangerous to be seen, to create a higher profile than the one you had before.
What happens when you stand out is that people notice you. You’re not blending in anymore, it’s time to be seen. This could be exactly what you wanted to begin with, but you may not have been aware of what happens when those attention points show up. Your success arrives, sometimes bringing a bit of criticism, jealousy, and judgment in its wake.
You can learn how to protect yourself so that you feel safe with the new energies. Before you were being seen, those attention points didn’t stick. You may have been fine with that, because you weren’t ready to be seen yet. The trick is handling all of those attention points you have manifested, and having the ability to release the less pleasant energies that come along for the ride.
What do you do to stay well and safe, while still being seen?
The most important thing you can do is to know yourself, and love what you know. You don’t have to be perfect, or defend yourself for being you. If you find yourself on the defense against anyone else’s judgment or criticism, learn how to let that go. If someone else is judging you, that’s not your problem, it’s theirs. The better you know and love yourself, the more grounded you can be.
You can also learn how to ground yourself. A daily meditation practice will help you to stay centered and calm within yourself. The more you can let go of the energies coming in that aren’t yours, the easier it will be for you to be seen and enjoy it.
