The 4th chakra and the spiritual revolution

Revolutions throughout history have a reputation for being loud, violent, bloody, and not always leading to a reliable outcome, depending on your point of view.

Revolutions come in many forms, and each one is unique. The word ‘revolution’ itself has a number of definitions, including this one: a fundamental change in the way of thinking about or visualizing something: a change of paradigm.

No matter your current age, you have lived through some form of revolution. In the early 21st century, you will continue to do so daily. Transformation and evolution are happening swiftly, all around us, all over the world. This is nothing to fear, but to embrace in a conscious manner. Change is, and it’s happening. This is a spiritual revolution. Are you in?

The greatest revolution you and I and everyone we know are living in now, is one of the spirit.

All transformation and change begins at the level of the spirit. This is where you come in. You have an effect on the current changes, because they are happening within you, and to you. You chose to be here now for this remarkable time of fast moving change. Embrace the inevitability of positive change, let go of trying to hold it back, and you are moving with the flow of the time you live in now.

This flow is a 4th chakra revolution, an evolution based on love, wholeness, and affinity. Your 4th chakra is one of the places where you create revolution within yourself.

The 4th chakra, also known as the heart chakra, enjoys a reputation as being the Love chakra. The ability to love your fellow humans and yourself, as well as your creations, is contained within this energy center. The energy of affinity is generated by this chakra, and it quite simply feels amazing to run your own affinity through you.

This all sounds like a gentle happy thing. Love, yes. So where’s the revolution part coming from? Isn’t love personal?

Love does make the world go round, this is true. Connect with the energy of love and you truly do make a difference here on earth. Without convincing another person of one thing, or seeming to change a single mind around you, merging yourself with the healing tone of love changes everything.

A conscious spiritual revolution leads to greater healing, love, and peace.

There is another ability contained within the 4th chakra that sparks a revolution, and began to do so back in the late 1960’s: Identity - as in, how do I see myself? How do I see what’s possible, what my role is in my life, who I am to me, who I get to be?

This is the revolution, that is where it all changes: identity. ‘How do I see myself?’ sparks a revolution when the answer is different from the one you were told was the ‘correct’ identity, the one you ‘should’ have. When you begin to wake up and ask why the hell you’re here, what is it all for, and how do you get to have more meaning in life? – this is when you evolve, wildly.

What about Identity?

Identity is a common theme these days. Whoever you are, and whatever it is that you do, you will face challenges and opportunities with identity, and the identity pictures you create your self image from.

When it comes down to it, your identity isn’t decided by others around you. Throughout your life, you’ve had non stop images coming at you, telling you who you are and who you should be. But when push comes to shove, you are the one who decides how you are going to see you.

When you do your own spiritual work; when you choose to dive in and get to know yourself; when you forgive, especially yourself; this is when you find some answers.

Your job is to do the work of deciding who you are, without needing everyone else to vote on it.

If you’ve been basing your self image on how others see you, you’ve put the cart before the horse. If you’re trying for the approval of others, you may not have permission to be exactly who you are right now. If you need others to give you validation and approval, you’ll hold yourself back from being your true self.

The greatest psychic ability is the ability to know yourself. If you’re running into blocks that say you can’t possibly do this, you know exactly what to work on. Anytime you run into energy that says you can’t, you might be hitting a limit imposed on you from elsewhere.

If you want to decide for yourself who you are, this will get in your way. Time to get to work.
