When spirit becomes your daily companion, life changes for the better
Learning to slow down to have more space.
I’ve always been a bit fiery and fast moving, and I'm not the most patient of souls sometimes. These are some of the things I'm working on adjusting for myself. I get stuff done, but it's more fun for me if I remember that what's most important is the spirit I bring along with me. I'd like to be operating more from a place of inner peace and relaxation, in other words, trust.
The days I rush through my morning daily practice, (meditation etc.) because I convince myself that I'm too busy or over scheduled, I feel it.
Have your space by being who you are
When you give yourself the freedom to be exactly who you are, you have space.
When you allow yourself to take up space without having to explain yourself to anyone else, you have enough room to breathe and to be. You have the right to exist, and you know why you’re here.
You are here to learn who you are. This isn't anyone else's job, only you can do it. You have permission to make your own decisions without waiting for approval from anyone else, when you choose to be yourself.
Transformation time on planet Earth
Transformation time is upon us, all of us, everywhere on this brilliant planet we share, this beautiful earth.
We learn more about the world around us by the minute. New creations, inventions, and discoveries are showing up every day. The earth itself is transforming before our eyes, and we are being reminded to make more thoughtful, conscious, and intelligent choices about how we treat our home and the other beings who live here with us.
The great news is that the really big changes are happening within us. Opportunities for personal spiritual growth and awareness are endless.
Thank you, for being you
You may not realize what a gift you are, simply for existing and being yourself.
Nobody else has ever been just like you. The exact combination of stuff that is you, is one of a kind. Because of this, you don’t really have any competition, and you don’t ever have to be anything but you. Your spirit is unique in all of time, and nobody else can replace you.
The best part of this is that you get to decide how and who you want to be. Sometimes, because of this uniqueness, you may feel invalidated.
Are you really who they say you are?
They’ve been doing it your whole life, letting you know who you are and how you fit in.
Are you really who, and how, others say you are? It’s not that anyone means you any harm by telling you these things. After all, you’ve probably done the same for others. It can be a great validation and comfort to be accepted into a group.
Belonging can help you feel safe, which is why it's so difficult to pull away from the group identity. You might even belong to a group you love to hate, yet can’t seem to step away from. You get sucked back in every time you try.
The greatest psychic ability is to know yourself
Nobody knows you better than you know yourself.
If someone tells you they know you better than you do, they are misinformed. They might be saying that they know who they want you to be, who you are 'supposed' to be, or who you want them to think you are. Meanwhile, the actual truth of who you are might be hidden and protected down deep, under a surface of demands, responsibilities, beliefs, agreements, and other people’s energy.
Your truth might be so well hidden that even you are having a hard time seeing it. You might not know yourself, the real you, at all.
What is it that makes you unique?
It’s your spirit that makes it possible for you to stand out, and be uniquely you.
If you thought it was the attention from others that made you stand out and be seen – as in how many fans you have, and how popular you are, you may want to check again. Your popularity in the outside world can be very separate from the truth of who you are, deep within.
There’s no other like you, you are one of a kind – and when you find the courage to be the unique you that you are, you can create your true life.
Stillness opens the door to vision and genius
Finding stillness in your inside world leads you to new awareness, inside and out.
When you handle a constant demand to do, something, anything - it’s difficult to have an awareness of what exists all around you.
Non-stop doing creates an escape from being, seeing, feeling, and experiencing, which is the point, as if one were running away from something. Doing can be an addiction, one that is easily fed in today’s world of non-stop activity. Plus there’s the added bonus of appearing to be virtuous because you’re working so hard. One can become a martyr to doing too much.
